Transport Stand Assist
The Vive Transport Stand is a non-powered raising and lowering solution that helps patients safely stand from a seated position and sit from a raised position. Patients continue to participate in the sit to stand and lowering process with minimal caregiver assistance. It is a fantastic assistance to the patent, as well a reduces the risk of lower back injuries suffered by care givers.
Patients use the middle bar to pull themselves while pushing themselves up with their legs from a seated position. The caregiver then swings the padded split seats down into into position so the patient can safely be seated. The caregiver then unlocks the casters, and you are ready for transporting elsewhere in the home. Once your destination is reached, the process is repeated in reverse so the patient can safely lower back down to a a chair, bed, or commode.
IMPORTANT: This Vive Transport Stand Assist is for individuals between approximately 5' and 6' 6" in height. Patients must also have enough strength and stability to participate in the lifting and lowering process using their arms and legs. The optional Raising Belt can be additionally used to assist the patient. For patients unable to support themselves or limited strength and stability, we recommend considering an electric Sit-To-Stand Lift. TIP: It is recommended that you measure your furniture, wheelchair (if applicable) and doorway clearance needs, and consult the product Specifications provided on this page in order to assure that this device will work in your environment.
