The McKesson Silicone Coated Latex Foley Catheters have a firm catheter tip designed to improve ease of insertion while the symmetrical balloon provides a tight seal at the neck of the urethra. The silicone coating helps reduce urethral irritation, and the durable, flexible latex construction helps improve application and patient comfort. The two-way flexible tube features two separated channels, or lumens, running down its length; (1) The open-ended lumen allows urine to drain into a collection bag, (2) The channel with a outside valve connects to the balloon at the tip. The symmetrical, 5 cc balloon provides a tight seal at the neck of the urethra to prevent catheter from slipping out of the blasser when inflated with sterile water.
